Brain Boost Oatmeal
The Brain Boost Oatmeal Punch packs a punch of God's deliciousness that boosts your brain to conquer the day. This oatmeal is not your ordinary run of the meal. We are talking a double-decker of yum with layers of banana slices and raspberries on the side of your bowl. Then do just the opposite layering process on top. That way, each spoon scoops up every ingredient in each bite. It slides into your mouth, tantalizing your taste buds. Then when you hit the happy mouth, it pushes you into excitement, with the sensation of vegan dark chocolate caressing you into delightful bliss (place in the middle of the second layer). Treat yourself and enjoy a special D.O.S.E (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins) of the Creator's goodness.
Equipment
- Saucepan and knife
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 2 cups Water/Plant-based Milk
- 1 Banana sliced
- 1 cup Frozen Blueberries
- 1 Rasberry/fruit of choice for topping
- ½ tbsp Coconut sugar/maple syrup/Stevia
- 2 tbsp Ground Flaxseeds/Chia/Hemp seeds
Instructions
- Combine: In a medium saucepan, combine oats, water/plant-based milk. Boil over medium heat, then stir. Lower the heat and simmer 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. The oatmeal will be soft, thick, and creamy.
- Stir: Remove from heat. Add sugar and flaxseeds. Stir until well combined.
- Layer: Fill bowl halfway and layer by placing banana slices in the center and six pieces spaced around the bowl perimeter. Repeat the same process with blueberries. Place vegan dark chocolate chips in center of first and second layer.
- Rinse: Rinse and repeat with the top layer. Finally, top it off with flaxseed and your choice of fruit. Enjoy your Brain Boost Oatmeal!
Notes
*Steel Cut Oats: Reduce heat to simmer and cook oats until soft, 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. *Plant-based or Non-dairy milk will make the oatmeal creamy compared to water. *Omit Coconut Sugar/maple syrup/stevia if on a diabetic diet. The fruit sweetens the oatmeal automatically. *Nutrition information is a rough estimate.
