Then eat a simple, quick yet robust snack for a mid-morning or mid-day picker-upper. Peanut butter and Apple Slices are a childhood treat that my family still loves to enjoy and eat. Fiber and protein will fuel you to accomplish your tasks throughout the day.

Notes
*Optional: Drizzle 1/2 tsp of honey (if not vegan) or agave for an extra treat. An apple has about 11 grams of natural sugar (fructose). *Natural sugars are a good energy source, but they can quickly raise blood sugar levels without monitoring. So, be mindful of the amount of natural sugar or sugar you take in for the day. *Always wash your produce before you eat it. Your fruit and vegetables travel far usually to make it to you for enjoyment. Fruits and veggies may expose harmful bacteria or other contaminants (even organic, pesticide-free, and conventional produce). Everyone does not handle produce as you may from farm to table. *Use a stiff brush (solely for produce) and good ole H2O (water) for washing. If your produce has a waxy film on it, use a paper towel or cloth (solely for produce) after washing them. *Nutrition information is a rough estimate.
