  • 2 Portobello Mushrooms Large
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • ½ tsp Onion Powder
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Liquid Amino Acid
  • 1 tsp Hickory Liquid Smoke optional
  • 1 Small Onion
  • 2 Smoked Gouda Vegan Cheese slices
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup reserve for sandwich spread
  • 2 tbsp Vegan Mayonaise reserve for sandwich spread
  • ¼ tsp Dill seasoning reserve for sandwich spread
  • tsp Smoke Paprika (optional)


Preheat Air fryer to 350 for 3 to 5 minutes

  • Clean: Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth or brush. Remove stems.
  • Mix: Mix all ingredients in a small bowl (except onion, cheese, ketchup, mayo and dill seasoning).
  • Drizzle: Drizzle mixture over portobello mushrooms. Gently massage the mix onto both sides. Let marinate for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Air fry: Air fry for 7 minutes in total. Check it periodically to ensure proper timing. Adjust timing as needed based on your elevation and air fryer performance.
  • Mix: Mix vegan mayo, ketchup, smoke paprika, and dill season in a small bowl. Spread it on your sandwich (lettuce/ multigrain bun/bread, etc.). Layer it with slices of onions and cheese.
  • Serve: Take out of air fryer basket and immediately serve. Enjoy!
