Red Velvet Protein Smoothie (Vegan and Gluten-Free)

Our Red Velvet Protein Smoothie has a smooth velvet texture on your palate that awakens your senses of pleasure and relaxation. No artificiall fillers. Of course, it may help to improve your health. Ingredients
- 2 cup Non-dairy milk plant-based milk; almond, oat, coconut
- 2 Ripe bananas sliced frozen
- ⅓ cup Strawberries sliced and frozen
- ⅓ cup Beets * raw, cubed, and frozen
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder 100% Cacao Special Dark Hershey's Cocoa
- 1 Medjool date pitted optional
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp Chia seeds ground
- 1 scoop Plant-based protein powder optional...I use Orgain Organic Protein Powder
Instructions
- Blend: Blend high speed frozen ripe bananas, strawberries, beets, non-dairy milk, cocoa powder, date, vanilla extract, chia seeds, and protein powder in a food processor until smooth & creamy (not runny).
- Pour: Pour from food processor into four 8 ounces or two 16 ounces glasses. Don't judge! It's just that delicious.
- Serve: Serve immediately. Have fun and enjoy!
Notes
* Taste and add additional natural sweetener to your liking. * Prepare ahead of time by keeping frozen ripe bananas, diced beets, and fruit stored in the freezer. * Optional toppings: Add vanilla bean/extract, dark chocolate, coconut whipped cream, or beetroot powder. If you add beetroot powder, it will give it a more earthy taste and crimson color. If you add more cocoa/cacao powder, you'll have a deeper chocolate flavor. *Nutrition information is a rough estimate.
